Let’s cultivate vegetable better        Vegetable gardening training

The Vegetable gardening trainings have started.
On both days of May 8 and 10, staff of Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery (PDAFF) in Battambang and Good Earth Japan (GEJ) had visited around the villages for conducting Vegetable gardening trainings.
GEJ support farmers who live on post mine field in Battambang Province, northwest of the Kingdom of Cambodia for improve their living life and to become independent with activities of improvement of infrastructure and Agriculture trainings in conjunction with counter partner PDAFF.

Vegetable gardening training is one of Agriculture trainings like Rice cultivation, Mushroom cultivation and Chicken raise training which GEJ provide, and it could be their income source selling those products at the market if there would be surplus and the quality should be marketable.

After the lecture of how to prepare
the Organic compost, farmers practiced
it themselves. The compost made had
been taken to their homes shared.

After the lecture for good soil condition and water supply etc., participants went around to inspect the proposed land area for vegetable garden actually.
