For handover the school to the villagers, GEJ organized a ceremony jointly with Japanese Peace Building Project of which activities were operated in same area as GEJ project.















The ceremony opened in Prey Preal village on 25th March 2013 with honored guests: H.E. Yuji Kumamaru, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Embassy of Japan, H.E. Prak Sokhon, Vice-President of Cambodian Mine Action & Victims Assistance Authority (CMAA), Deputy Governor of Battambang Province, Mr. Yuichi Tsujimoto, President and CEO of Hitachi Construction Machinery, Mr. Shoji Shinoda, Exective Director of GEJ and H. E. Oum Phumro, Aciting Director of Camboidan Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and 1,500 people including CMAC staff, villagers, teachers and pupils attended there.


































The ceremony started with ribbon cutting and handing over of replica of key at entrance gate of the school. Following the speech of honored guests, Mr. Shinoda reported the achievement of GEJ in Battambang province since 2007 adding request of practice of the school maintenance by people concerned and Mr. Tsujimoto wished growth of children for future of Cambodia.>
















After speech, honored guests planted tree in front of school building, took commemorative photo with pupils and visited at the classroom. Finally pupils sang all together for expressing their gratitude and the ceremony was closed with full of smile.
